For 12 months now, I have been on leave from work to raise the light of my life, Mr L. I thought I'd be a stay at home mum for some time, but we are never at home! Pram walking, Playgroup, outings, visiting people, going for walks - it never ends!!
This month has been special. It's like a little spark turned on inside his head. He plays peek a boo, squeals with delight when you chase him, looks for his duck when I sing 'Five little ducks', stopped eating the sand out of the sandpit. It's beautiful. Today he took his first steps, and this opens up a whole new world of play.
Tonight I've made him a sensory play table. It's an old stool with the seat removed, and a plastic marinating dish placed in the space. I've filled it with pearl couscous and bottle tops. I can't wait to see how it is received tomorrow.
